As for seller primary sectors, the IT Services sector led the list with 52 transactions in 2026, representing 25% of the total, followed by Industry-specific Applications sector with 33 acquisitions which made up 16% of all transactions in this space. That was followed by the Enterprise Resource Planning and Information Management with 21 and 12 deals equal to 10% and 6% of deal volumes, respectively. Other notable industries included Internet Content & Commerce, Business Intelligence, and Security that each represented around 5% of deals each, followed by Payments at 4%.
